About joy journey, Jordana, and Jennifer
That’s a lot of J’s, huh? Don’t worry, we won’t make you say that 10 times fast, but we will invite you to come along for the ride with us. It’ll be worth it, we promise 😉
Introducing Joy Journey
Before we introduce ourselves, can we ask you a question? It’s a bit personal, so bear with us…
When was the last time you felt truly invigorated by the work you do every day?
Since you’re here, there’s a good chance you’re struggling to answer that question easily. For both of us, we knew it was time for a real change when, in our work as clinical social workers, we could no longer remember the last time we felt anything but…
…exhausted
…dreading going to work
…physically and emotionally burned out
We couldn’t remember the last time the careers we’d chosen so carefully, with such meaningful purpose, had brought us any amount of joy.
And we knew we were not alone.
Fellow healthcare providers — especially our fellow female healthcare providers — informally shared their frustrations with us every day. That evolved into a monthly call where we facilitated meaningful discussions, support, and guidance for people in similar positions we had found ourselves in.
We knew there was a need for so much more. And thus, Joy Journey was born.

My Wake-Up Call
Despite working in a field I was passionate about, behind a mission I felt proud to support, and with a long list of accomplishments on my resume, in early 2023, I had a real wake-up call when I recognized within myself the signs of burnout: physical, mental and emotional.
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe everyone already has all of the answers they need, and I work alongside my clients to uncover them by separating true values and identity from the expectations, stories, assumptions, and false beliefs that have built up around them. I also believe in fun and resilience in this process and want to make this partnership journey something that brings joy to us both as well!

My Wake-Up Call
I loved my job, which made it all the more confusing when, despite having helped many people each day, I’d lay in bed at night feeling like I’d never be enough. After recognizing this in myself as burnout, I decided to refocus my career on not just what I was good at, but what I truly loved to do.
My Coaching Philosophy
I love working with badass women—or women on their journey to recognizing their badassery. In session, I'm a pretty direct goofball. My clients often tell me they didn't expect to laugh this much while working through their trauma, but they also know that I respect them enough to be fully honest and help them get to where they want to be. I am the forever cheerleader and support to help you embrace your strengths and find balance.
What Brings me Joy
My husband of 12 years
My corgi, Benicio

Traveling (15 countries and counting!)
The privilege of being with people in some of their darkest and brightest moments
But, who are we, really?
